Understand the lifecycle of turfgrass and common weeds
Take and read a soil test to understand proper fertilizer rates
Learn proper turfgrass health and minimize impacts on surface and groundwater
A manual will be provided, with a matrix designed to guide better decision-making based on your soils and exposure, and your turfgrass quality expectations. At the end of the training, an optional certification test is offered in turfgrass maintenance best practices.
This workshop is presented by Fortin Consulting and is taught by two instructors, an environmental professional, and an agronomist, horticulturist and/or a hands-on maintenance professional. Funding is provided to the MPCA through a grant from United States Environmental Protection Agency, Section 319 Nonpoint Source Management Fund.
